It’s very rare when a sneaker from the 1970s gets the retro treatment. This is one of those instances as adidas has decided to bring back the adidas Formel 1 OG that made its initial debut way back in 1978! That’s probably older than 95% of our readers, right?
The Formel 1 OG comes in an almost identical aesthetic as it did close to 40 years ago. The shoe will once again come in a nylon construction paired up with suede overlays. The majority of the shoe comes in black, while the bold yellow hits are spotted on the heel, eyelets, Three Stripe branding, tongue branding, and midsole. Being that adidas decided to mimic the look of the shoe entirely, the shoe will once again come with its distinctive tooling and its extended heel spoiler. Available now internationally, expect these to drop worldwide beginning February 6th.

Author’s Take
This is the epitome of a vintage sneaker. To be quite honest, I have little to no knowledge about the shoe. With that being said, I think it looks better than some of the stuff releasing today.
