Jam Master Jam of Run DMC may no longer be with us, but his legacy lives on.To ensure that this new generation knows how big of an impact this man had in music and sneakers, adidas is once again honoring him by creating a special edition version of the adidas Originals Superstar.
Jam Master Jay along with the rest of the members of Run DMC single handedly helped put adidas on the map by always rocking a fresh pair of Superstars, which makes perfect sense as to why they decided to use this model to pay tribute to the man. The tribute sneaker comes in an all-white motif contrasted by the adidas/JMJ branding coming in black and gold found in the tongue and heel of the shoe. Before you get too excited, I must point out that this shoe appears to be a “friends and family” release, so unless you’re part of the click, you may just have to admire from afar. How many Run DMC fans are out there? Would you cop if these were to receive a wider release?

adidas should definitely make these available to the public. I know plenty of people would love to own this sneaker. A man can dream, right?
