Every footwear brand is releasing Chinese New Year-themed sneakers. One brand we’re still waiting to hear more of is Asics. Although the Asics Gel Lyte 3 you see above has yet to be officially linked to a Chinese New Year themed release, the more you look at it, the more obvious it appears to be linked to the theme.
The shoe comes in a red upper made out of a premium nubuck and suede construction. Aside from the red upper, what makes us to believe that this is a Chinese New Year release is the metallic gold piping placed on the shoe. Adding some nice contrast to the shoe are the black accents found on the neoprene as well as in the striped red and black laces. A white speckled midsole completes the major features on the shoe. Chinese New Year-themed or not, it’s a dope looking sneaker. The red upper paired up with the contrasting white speckled midsole looks really clean. Looking forward to this release.
