Meanwhile, fans and blogs are starting to ask more questions and demand answers instead of just accepting the corporate line and dropping new colorways to shut us up. It’s a slow burn to be sure because for every sneakerhead that branches out there is another two or three ready to camp out in an effort to be one of the cool kids, but there is a revolution brewing. We just have to keep pushing and no, not just for “better quality” retros or something dumb like that.

You can feel it from our countdown of the Top 10 Kicks Of 2014 So Far that change is inevitable. Foamposites are no longer easy money like they once were, adidas has two entries on the list and we only mentioned Kanye once (ok, make it twice since this would be the first). There are still retros on the list but their inclusion is well-deserved for once and not just fueled by baseless hype that deems them important just because they’re old. Maybe sneakerheads are growing up? The second half of 2014 has a lot to live up to…

Adidas has something special in-store for us this Fall and Winter season, a special Raf Simons collaboration. The Raf Simons x adidas collab showcases the Bunny Bounce silhouette, and the Bunny Rising Star Boots. The Bunny Bounce showcases two different renditions of camo prints and the Bunny Rising Star Boot also draws some military inspiration, somewhat resembling German military boots.

These boots, however, are incorporated with adidas’ Performance Mega Bounce soles for extra comfort and stability. These kicks are just the highlights of the collection, so be sure to check with your local adidas retailers for availability of the other models that are slated to release early August/late September.
