Asics isn’t all about just their Gel Lyte 3s and Gel Lyte 5s. I mean of course those are their two most popular silhouettes, but they also have more to offer like the Asics Gel Kayano Trainer.
After giving you some on-feet shots at both of these colorways late last week, we now give you a couple of additional looks at each pair so you can decide whether or not you’d like to add these bad boys to your collection. Both of these Gel Kayano Trainers take on the tonal monochromatic approach with one being covered in Spectra Green and the other in Cool Grey. This silhouette uses a one piece neoprene bootie/inner liner very similar to the Gel Lyte 5. Both of them use suede and nubuck uppers along with plastic on the branding stripes and heel cage. Together these pairs make up what is being called the Ocean Pack.

The Gel Kayano Trainer is a decent looking silhouette but I don’t really like it when it comes in tonal colorways like this. I prefer something with some color contrast so you can differentiate the different parts of the shoe.
