Puma is looking to expand their offerings by creating a brand new model derived from a previously existing model. Puma takes its R698 and adds some brand new cushioning on it. Introducing the Puma R698 Ignite.
The shoe will come in a mesh upper put together by the use of seamless overlays. Coming in a tonal black or grey offering, the base of the shoe is paired up with Puma’s Ignite cushioned sole unit coming in a vintage white colorway. This new sole unit gives the shoe a new look while also making it a more comfortable option. A set of tonal laces and lining complete the major features on the shoe. Already available internationally, we will let you know once these drop stateside.

Author’s Take
Not really liking the aesthetics of the shoe. Although I’m glad to see the R698 get an updated cushioning unit, I’m not a fan of the model to begin with. I’d much rather get a shoe that’s just as comfortable but that has a look that I like.
