The latest adidas silhouette that Raf Simons was able to get his hands on is none other than the adidas Originals Stan Smith. In Raf Simons fashion, the silhouette takes on a whole new look.
The fashion designer puts his attitude and persona on to the Stan Smith by caging the shoe in three strips made out of velcro straps with a buckle attached to them. The shoe itself comes in an all-black leather motif, while the added strips come in a contrasting white colorway. Additional white can be seen on the branding on the tongue and heel tab of the shoe. Obviously, the straps are also meant to symbolize the Three Stripes branding of the shoe, which I have to admit is pretty creative. But is it worth $325 though? Personally, I don’t think so.
