Relive Kobe Bryant’s Past With The Nike Air Zoom Huarache 2K4 All Star

The annual NBA All Star Game is only a few weeks away and if you’re a huge basketball fan like me then you couldn’t be more excited. It’s been a few years now that Nike has had their core group of signature athletes that includes LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant and most recently Kyrie Irving (who are all expected to have special All Star sneakers).

But before Kobe Bryant became an official Nike signature athlete and got his own shoe, Nike was lacing him up in different silhouettes. During the 2004 season he was seen wearing the Nike Air Zoom Huarache 2K4 in heavy rotation. He wore it so much that year that Nike ended up making him a special All Star colorway to match the Western Conference uniforms. Now 12 years later the same exact sneaker is back. This All Star version of the Air Zoom Huarache 2K4 comes in a patriotic red, white and blue color scheme.

Select retailers already have the sneaker available for sale with more expected to receive their shipment in the next couple of weeks. Do you plan on picking up a pair?

Author’s Take

I remember being in high school when these released. My favorite pair was the black and grey colorway but this All Star pair is also solid especially since Kobe wore them for the big game.
