The adidas EQT Support 93/16 just coined the phrase “if it ain’t broke, throw Boost on it.” The 93/16 refers to the years of release for the original EQT and its Frankenstein kinfolk being dropped this year. Taking adidas’ most classic running silhouette and adding Boost for a modernized update went better than I thought it would. The midsole shape has changed to accommodate the new technology, and the soles have been updated to lighten the load. The changes aren’t visually jarring but have just enough funk in them to Three Stripes hit the aesthetic sweet spot in this max-comfort mashup.
