adidas Unveils a Unique Floating Arch Design for the Women's PureBOOST X

adidas' immensely popular Boost cushioning has unofficially become the sportswear giant's platform atop which it exhibits its latest technological innovations and fashion collaborations, seeing use in everything from the Yeezy Boost, the Y-3 Retro Boost, and of course our very own HYPEBEAST x adidas UltraBOOST UNCAGED. In its latest running model for women, adidas has unveiled the PureBOOST X which sports a never-before-seen feature in sneaker design -- a distinctive arch in the midfoot that floats free of the Boost tooling.

Utilizing the state-of-the-art Aramis motion tracking technology, adidas' designers conceived of the sneaker from the ground up specifically for the female foot. A supportive sensation is delivered by the adaptive stretch mesh that wraps under the midfoot, while the untethered portion of the upper allows for a more comfortable fit that better conforms to the natural movements of the foot.

Meanwhile, a more fashion-oriented iteration of the new sneaker designed by Stella McCartney will also be released in conjunction, which features a more sock-like construction and a rope lacing system reminiscent of the Nike Huarache NM. The adidas PureBOOST X will be available online for $120 USD from February 1, while the adidas by Stella McCartney PureBOOST X will become available for $170 USD from February 15 onwards.
