adidas Originals debuts its latest Spring/Summer 2016 campaign, which challenges the dystopian view of the future.
Essentially inspiring a new generation not to follow, but to challenge the status quo and the misconception that looking ahead is about forgetting the past. Ultimately, the best way to predict the future is to create it. In partnership with eight influencers who are portrayed by world-renowned photographers Pieter Hugo, Oliver Hadlee Pearch, and Tyrone Lebon, as well as seen in a short film by Terence Neale, all artists themselves, who, each in their own way; challenge the status quo of their medium.
In the short film, we see them all march together towards an optimistic tomorrow, dismissing hurdles of negativity. Each member challenging the idea through their craft and creativity, from Aleali May’s influential stance on style, Iman Shumpert on the NBA courts and on the mic, Kyu Steed crafting his own music style, and Design Butler’s irreverent transformation of personal influences.
The message is clear — your future is yours to create.
