The 2016 adidas adiZero 5-Star 5.0 has been introduced, as it’s crafted with the utilization of KEVLAR Chromaflage.
Entitled “Stars & Stripes,” these special cleats feature the iconic elements of the U.S. Flag as seen through a 3D liquid crystal pattern enveloping its entire upper. This new and revamped component incorporates 3D photorealism, where an actual photo or image can be projected and distorted into a unique Chromaflage pattern. Through digital printing, each image utilizes the liquid crystal to add depth and richness to the imagery in order to create a unique 3D look.
Weighing in at only 7.9 ounces, the silhouette is equipped with a flexible SPRINTSKIN upper and SHOCKWEB reinforcement. Offering a blend lightweight, strength, traction and style, the cleats are now available for purchase at select adidas retailers nationwide.
These will be debuted by the nations top high school football players for the 2016 U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Saturday, January 9th, at 1pm EST on NBC.

Author’s Take
The only cleats I’m really into are the Jordan-inspired iterations, but this pair looks pretty sweet. The pattern on the upper looks well executed and the silhouette itself is sleek.
