We’ve all heard Kanye West’s incredibly meh “Facts” song where the producer disses Nike and incorrectly claims his “Yeezy jumped over the Jumpman.” Well so has Michael Jordan’s son Marcus, and he thinks Kanye’s assertion is the funniest joke he’s heard this year.
The 25-year-old Jordan heir hopped on Twitter and used a couple of emojis in reaction to Kanye’s diss while also throwing a gif of his dad cracking the hell up.
It’s been a while since I transformed from inner city hoodrat to adult and stopped caring about Jordans, but, apparently, retros are no longer selling like hotcakes. But, despite pairs sitting on store shelves like the good ol’ days and Yeezys being the most liked shoes on Instagram, actual facts state Kanye and Adidas still have a ways to go before Kanye’s kicks can be crowned king. The Nike/Jordan brand still “has about 60% share in US running, 90% share in basketball (inc. Jordan), and about 20% in skate,” according to industry expert Matt Powell.
