This past weekend we gave a you a first glimpse of the adidas Tubular Primeknit. Today we have even more pictures and more colorways of the highly anticipated adidas basketball shoe. Let’s take a better look at what the shoe has to offer and when you can expect these to drop.
There’s a couple of things that stand out to me, first is the sole unit. It manages to bring together two of adidas most well known features and put it together in one sole. The first thing the sole unit has is the tubular sole construction that we’re used to seeing on the adidas Originals Tubular Runner. The second thing that I was able to recognize quickly, was the ridged midsole that is easily recognized on the Yeezy Boost. The other part of the shoe that also stands out to me is the Primeknit construction found on the upper. Primeknit is the adidas version of what Flyknit is to Nike. Primeknit construction is usually seen on the Y-3 models. So what adidas has managed to do is capture features of some of their most sought after models and build a ‘super’ silhouette with everyone’s favorite aesthetics. The adidas Tubular Primeknit will also come with a leather panel design that happens to very closely resemble another adidas model, the adidas Forum. Author’s Take
Although the images of the adidas Tubular Primeknit just released this weekend, I’m pretty hyped about the shoe, just like the majority of the people who are reading this. They managed to create a ‘fusioned” shoe without destroying the aesthetics of it. I can’t wait for more information to be released, but as of right now, I’m all in.
