Red Leaves All Over the adidas Originals ZX 8000 Boost – St Cargo Khaki

adidas adidas1 adidas2 adidas3

Last rendered in two-tone finishes of Black/White and Black/Pink, the adidas Originals ZX 8000 Boost is reinterpreted in a more playful makeup for its latest iteration this Spring 2015.

Although officially shaded in St Cargo Khaki, the silhouette is reminiscent of the recent “Red Seaweed Camo” patterned adidas Originals Tubular Runner, while colored in a more understated approach. Essentially comprised of a stretchy mesh upper, an all-over Red leaf print is complemented by Tan leather overlays for an eye-catching combination.

Further reinforced by a translucent heel counter and removable TPU eye stay to define its sleek makeup, the lightweight ZX 8000 is topped of by adidas’ renowned Boost sole unit in Off White for extreme comfort, as well as capping off the respective palette.

Retailing for $140, you can find it now from adidas retailers globally.

Author’s Take

At first glance it’s reminiscent of a Red camo pattern, but in terms of its overall design, I’m a fan of the makeup. The profile looks sleek and ensures a lightweight feel although I’m not too keen on the graphics. I’d rather opt for a neutral colorway but if you’re in the market for something different, then these should be reasonable.
