It’s always playing with fire. The adidas Originals Stan Smith hasn’t been afraid to test things out, and now they’ve gone from python prints to textile uppers. They’ve played with colors schemes and they’ve played with the construction but this textile upper my be my favorite by far.

It’s almost as if adidas just threw these into the mix to compete with Primeknit and Flyknit designs by Nike, but so what if they did. They’ve definitely succeeded, unlike some other competitors. The adidas Originals Stan Smith is offered to us in two different designs, each constructed in flexible material, while suede reinforces the tongue and toe. You can choose the Crushed Blue look with an Orange inner lining and Black laces, or you can go steal mode and choose the all Black design. Regardless, you can get them now at select adidas retailers.

Author’s Take

I’ve been messing with the Stan Smith model for a minute. This doesn’t change a thing.

The Crushed Blue version is definitely beckoning to me, so the cop is a must. And of all the Stan Smith designs, these might be some of the dopest.
