Stripped, as in no stripes. Get it? Anyway, we just previewed the white version earlier today, now we have the more sophisticated version of the adidas Originals Superstar in an all black colorway. Let’a take a closer look.

Same format as the white colorway, just a different color. The adidas Originals Superstar opts to tone down some of its most known traits in favor of a much more subtle and sleeker look. Gone is the adidas branding on the tongue, and more noticeably, gone is the Three Stripes we are so accustomed to seeing on the side panels. The only noticeable branding you are able to see, lies in the gold hit found on the rear end of the side panel. The shell toe is still intact, which is the only major trait that helps us recognize this sneaker as a adidas Originals Superstar. Completing the look is the white sole that helps offset the all black look. Are you liking this sleeker version of the adidas Originals Superstar?

Author’s Take

I prefer the black colorway over the white. It will stay cleaner and the black leather looks better on the minimal looking adidas Originals Superstar. I like the route adidas decided to take with this sneaker. I hope they continue to release more colorways.
