Nike Facing Trouble With Lawsuit Against Former Shoe Designers

While Nike has won its lawsuit against ex-Nike employees Kyle Yamaguchi and Tung Wing Ho, alongside fellow accomplice Jason Keating, their other case against a trio of designers who moved to adidas for allegedly stealing its commercial secrets have yet to be settled.

The lawyer for three former Nike designers – Marc Dolce, Mark Miner and Denis Dekovic – who were sued in December, have stated that Nike doesn’t have any evidence regarding trade secrets being shared to their rival, adidas.

“After examining 27 electronic devices and after the designers produced over 69,113 pages of information in discovery, Nike still has no evidence of any actionable misappropriation of trade secrets,”

said Matthew A. Levin, of Markowitz Herbold PC.

While the designers denied the allegations and claiming Nike violated their privacy, Nike responded, saying the company had the authority because the information stored in the devices were part of their property.

Stay tuned in for further updates as the case develops.
