The adidas Ultra Boost released in early in 2015 and while the premium runner has had a very impressive debut in its first year, we haven’t seen lot of variety. Now as we enter the last quarter of the year we begin to get a glimpse of what we can expect from the Ultra Boost in 2016.
For starters the adidas runner will feature a new upper on some models aside from the traditional Primeknit material. This pair that is pictured above comes with a wool knit material on the front half of the upper in Heather Grey. Other changes include a perforated cage and most importantly a Continental Tire rubber outsole that is sure to last longer than the current Ultra Boost outsoles. One of the biggest complaints of the current first generation Ultra Boost is that the outsole wears out too fast and this new outsole from tire manufacturer Continental should help with that issue.
The sample tag on this pair above indicates that we may be seeing this version of the Ultra Boost release in the Spring/Summer of 2016. Do you like what you see for the next generation of the adidas Ultra Boost?

Author’s Take
If these new adjustments make the Ultra Boost better than it already is then I’m all for it. Keep doing your thing adidas.
