So you did it. You were one of the many people out there who actually purchased a pair of the adidas Yeezy 950 Boots to wear them out and not to resell them for some insane amount that not even the most feverish of Kanye stan would pay for. Some sneakerheads might deny this because they’re too cool to admit it, but there is a liberating feeling – some might say it’s even a rush – to buying and owning something that many people will talk and debate about without ever seeing them in person.

The adidas Yeezy 950 Boots – and anything Yeezy Season 1 for that matter – are highly divisive because of their look, their price tag and their namesake. If you bought a pair to be a part of the zeitgeist, that’s fine, but what if you spent most of your hard earned cash on that one piece? Sure, you can go ahead and rock them with your dad jeans and Studio Ghibli/Star Wars mashup shirt that you got at TeeFury like I would (note: I didn’t buy the boots), but chances are you wanted the boot and the gear to match; only problem is that your wallet won’t agree with you. Hey, whatever it takes to get close to ‘Ye, Kim, Jay and Bey, right? The best part is you can wear all of these things with other picks from your wardrobe and no one can accuse you of being a Kanye stan. It’s really the best of both worlds.

So you’re on the Yeezy 2020 bandwagon, I get it. Why wouldn’t you want to recreate that moment over and over again with close to the same clothes he wore on that night when he announced his candidacy? Once again, with a little bit of sleuthing, you too can pull off the soon-to-be-official White House look and rock the Yeezy 950 Boots for less than a thousand dollars. Ok, that sounded a lot better before I typed it out, but it’s a steal if you look at it relative to the cost of anything from Season 1. Not to mention that if the apocalypse comes, you’ll be ready to look like an extra from The Book of Eli in no time.
