Following the presentation of a new 2015 uniform this past Summer 2015, Arizona State University and adidas unveil the Devils’ “PT42″ Primeknit alternate football uniforms.

Made in conjunction with Sun Devil Athletics, Marie Tillman and the Pat Tillman Foundation, this special edition uniform pays tribute to the U.S. military. Additionally, the uniform was designed to replicate the uniforms that Tillman and the 1996 team wore for their 1997 Rose Bowl appearance, while also paying homage to his military service as a U.S. Army Ranger. In April 2004, Pat lost his life while serving with the 75th Ranger Regiment in eastern Afghanistan.

To further showcase his inspiration, the jerseys incorporate Tillman’s name on the back, while also featuring a photo-realistic image of Pat leading the players onto the field, as well as an inspiring quote — “Passion makes life interesting, ignites our soul, fuels our love, carries our friendships, stimulates our intellect and pushes our limits.” Furthermore, camouflage socks and adizero 5-Star 4.0 gloves incorporating the green, tan and black colors of U.S. Army uniforms, in addition to the PT42 logo are prominent on its design.

Rounding out the look will consist of new adizero 5-Star 5.0 x KEVLAR and 2016 Freak x KEVLAR cleats, constructed from a durable, flexible canvas. This entire set will make its official debut today, October 29th, as the Sun Devils will take on the Oregon Ducks at Sun Devil Stadium. You can also start purchasing the items at select adidas locations now, with proceeds benefiting the Pat Tillman Foundation.
