Winnepeg isn’t exactly known as a hoops hotbed, but that’s where last night’s preseason game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Chicago Bulls took place as part of the NBA’s Canada Series. Headlining the game was Canada’s own Andrew Wiggins, the reigning NBA Rookie of the Year and adidas spokesman. As somebody who grew up idolizing Vince Carter during his prime years in Toronto, Wiggins looks to be the next superstar that inspires a generation of Canadians kids to play ball. Because it’s not like they’re going to be looking to Drake for hoop skills.
Wiggins showed off his Canadian pride (and Kansas Jayhawk and high school pride as well) when he wore the Rookie of the Year edition of the adidas Crazylight Boost 2015. We love those kicks and would totally wear it, you know, if they sent the other shoe and in a size we could fit in…
As for the rest of the night in kicks, Jimmy Butler wore the Air Jordan 4 “Fear”, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope rocked the Yeezy Foams, Seth Curry wore a PE version of his brother’s signature kicks and much more.
