The adidas Ultra Boost definitely had one hell of a introductory year. Now that their first year is almost done with, what do they have planned for the sophomore season? We gathered a couple of the colorways that we know are coming out in the near future and have put them all together to give you an idea of what to expect from the Three Stripes.
The first thing you notice is that there will be a lot of new colorways as well as patterns in the upcoming months. Many of the Ultra Boost colorways you see up top will come with a new “wave” pattern upper that’s placed on the toe and extends all the way to quarter of the Primeknit. The heel counter remains intact. As does the Boost construction on the sole unit. One thing that did end up changing was the build of the outsole, as it now utilizes a more tougher and rugged rubber (Continental) to assure that it lasts more than the first version of the adidas Ultra Boost. Author’s Take
For now, I think they should have stuck with the tonal look, as they still have plenty of options to choose from in the tonal department. The new continental rubber is a nice addition, but all in all, I’m really excited to see what else has adidas has up their sleeves for the near future.
