The Nice Kicks x adidas Consortium NMD Runner PK couldn’t be more overt when it comes to referencing its new flagship in San Francisco’s famous Haight/Ashbury neighborhood. The tie-dye Primeknit upper shouts out the area’s roots in hippie culture, while maintaining the Nice Kicks branding on the heel and tongue logos. As usual, I’m never eschewing Boost technology on a shoe. However, even more impressive than being a well designed shoe, what’s more important about to me about this drop is that the folks at Nice, Sneaker Freaker, and other entities are doing well enough to garner the attention of shoe companies to create collaborations that actually cater to the more hardcore consumers. I’m no hippie or stoner, but these NMDs get the go ahead from me based on the growing influence sneaker based websites have today.
The Nice Kicks X adidas Consortium NMD Runner PK releases at the San Francisco Nice Kicks SF location and online at Shop Nice Kicks this Saturday, February 6.
