Currently celebrating their 50th anniversary, we can expect Vans to release plenty of special sneakers in 2016.
One of many releases that will honor their dominance in the skateboarding industry is this Checkered Past Collection that features the Vans Vault Slip-On LX and the Vans Vault Sk8-Hi LX. The entire collection is highlighted by Vans’ iconic and signature checkerboard print done in premium hand-woven leather uppers. Each silhouette will be available in four different colorways and as mentioned before will feature the brand’s signature checkerboard pattern but thanks to the Vans Vault label it will be done in interwoven leather panels for a premium and luxurious look.
Each Vans Classic Slip-On LX will retail for $140 while the Vans Sk8-Hi LX will retail between $175-$200. What are your thoughts on this premium Vans Checkered Past Collection? The collection be available beginning on March 16th.

When I think of Vans I automatically think of their checkerboard print so this Checkered Past Collection is a perfect way to celebrate 50 years. It’s really dope to see them create the pattern with interwoven leather panels, it gives the sneakers a completely new look.
