Adidas will be honoring one of the greatest skateboard photographers of all time with a special release of the adidas Skate.
Skin Phillips will be recognized by adidas for the impact that he has had on the skateboarding culture with this black and white colorway of the adidas Skate that comes with a picture of his face on the tongue tag. The upper of this adidas Skate is composed of a full grain leather in black with white detailing being added on the Three Stripes branding, midsole, and heel tab. Gold accents serve as the finishing touch on the trefoil logo on the heel tab and on the lace dubraes.
This release is a part of adidas’ “Respect Your Roots” Collection and can be found at http://ift.tt/1h6zUAP and other select retailers for $100. To celebrate the release, adidas Skateboarding will also be holding a photo exhibition of Phillips’ work at Los Angeles’ Known Gallery on February 6.
