Fun With mi adidas: 10 Golden mi adidas D Lillard 2 Designs

Available now at adidas.com is the mi adidas version of Damian Lillard’s signature shoe, the D Lillard 2. It’s a sea change from the first shoe, which looked more like an Originals product than something that we would see on the court. But there the Lillard 1 was and when time came to name our NBA Signature Athlete of the Year award winner, Dame and his kicks were right in the middle of the race (hey, at least we put Dame into consideration, not like those who pick All-Star or Team USA squads… yeah, we kinda went there…). This year’s model looks to capitalize on the success of last year despite a lot of the casual appeal that was found in Lillard 1 has been replaced by a pair that definitely looks at home on the hardwood floor. Despite that, we’re excited to see what adidas has in store for the Lillard 2 (*cough* we need the Boost version *cough*).

Anyways, in this edition of Fun With…, we decided to have a little fun with the mi adidas D Lillard 2 and use the golden heel as the basis for 10 custom colorways that we hope to see on the feet of either Dame or his fans. The gold embellishment is a great look for the shoe and works quite nicely with a variety of color schemes. Obviously the self-imposed limitation made some colorways out of our reach, but sometimes the best work is achieved when we have those said limits.
