SLAM’s First Rabblecast Debuts Tonight

KICKS 18 is still on newsstands and if you’re still wondering if you should cop, hopefully we can persuade you with our latest venture into the broadcast game. Teaming up with Rabble, SLAM brings you its first Rabblecast as hosts Pete Walsh, Justinn Delaney and Chris Mordi are joined by Associate Editor Abe Schwadron to discuss KICKS 18. The Rabblecast itself runs tonight (9/21) at 8:00 p.m. EST on SLAM’s Rabble page, so be sure to tune in to hear all about John Wall’s cover shoot, the JWall 2, James Harden’s deal with adidas, Stephen Curry’s rise with Under Armour, the LeBron 13s and everything else going on in the sneaker world.

For the uninitiated, Rabble is a site that allows users to broadcast live sporting and television events directly from your phone, computer or tablet. Download the app (or visit Rabble’s site on your laptop or tablet), create a profile at Rabble.tv and get started. Rabble puts the power of broadcast in the hands of the user. Instead of listening to national broadcasters who may not know anything about your favorite team, hop on Rabble and call the game yourself on a dedicated channel. No further equipment is needed as long as your phone/computer/tablet has a built-in microphone. Since there’s no NBA ball going on at the moment, SLAM has done its Rabblecast as more of a free-form conversation on hoops but, nonetheless, it should still give you a good idea of how Rabble works.

As the season approaches, SLAM will record a few more Rabblecasts to talk everything going on in the basketball world and get you prepped for the NBA season. In the meantime, be sure to tune in at 8:00 p.m. EST tonight and interact with us live on our Rabble page during the broadcast.
