A while back we gave you a first look at this innovative adidas sneaker that is said to be composed out of ocean waste. Yeah, ocean waste. Today we have a better view of what the shoe is set to look once it ends up being released somewhere down the line.
This sneakers was able to be made possible when adidas teamed up with active preservation organization Parley for the Oceans. The sneaker is made completely from solid ocean pollutants such a plastic and illegal deep-sea gill nets. The upper will consist of retrieved nets from an illegal poaching vessel off the coast of South Africa that are then woven to create the shoe’s body. Still in the early stages of creating it, it’s almost certain that the shoe will be sitting on top of a Boost sole unit, meaning that it will also be super comfortable. Expect more consumer-ready recycled ocean plastic products to be revealed later down the line.

Amazing way of creating a shoe. I’m looking forward to see what the end result will look like.
