Nike Flyknit and adidas Primeknit. These two technologies/materials are regarded by many sneakerheads as the most innovative and best creations that have been utilized on a sneaker in a long time. Certain shoes like the Nike Flyknit Racer and the adidas Ultra Boost have gained a big following because of their use of breathable knit uppers.
With the popularity of knit material being used on sneakers at an all time high, some independent designers are taking a crack at creating their own knit shoes. Ammo Liao is a designer who has created knit shoes using Bio-Knit material. This material has heat reinforcement capabilities that provide more structure to the sneaker. At the moment Liao’s Bio-Knit sneakers are more of an experiment with the actual materials rather than a sneaker project. But maybe down the line he’ll turn this into something bigger and better for everyone to enjoy.
What do you think of the new Bio Knit material? Would you like to see it being used on shoes in the future?

Author’s Take
It seems like this Bio-Knit project is still in its beginning stages, but it would be cool to see another knit material being placed on sneakers.
