Croatian Player Refuses To Wear Jordan Brand at 2015 FIBA U19 World Championship

No adidas For European Player

Croatian basketball player Dragan Bender is one of the best 19 and under players that the country has to offer, and with the FIBA U19 World Championship about to begin, he’s expected to shine bright. Except he won’t be playing at the tournament this year.

Why you ask? Well you see the Croatian Basketball Federation has a contract with Jordan Brand that requires all of the players from the team to wear Jordan sneakers. Bender however has his own contract with adidas, and when he was told that he had to wear Jordan Brand this did not sit well with him. Bender decided that the only way he will play is if he can wear adidas, and since the team has contract with Jordan Brand, he decided to drop out of the tournament.

Wow! Talk about brand loyalty. What would you have done if you were Dragan Bender?
