Power Ranking The NBA Signature Shoe Athletes

Old meets kinda old meets new.

Not since the late 1990s has the NBA signature shoe landscape been this wide open. At first glance, you probably don’t think it’s that way because so much of the attention has been focused on Nike’s Big 3, Jordan Brand’s retros and adidas’ Derrick Rose, but the influx of foreign brands in China and a new contender in Under Armour has made the race to the top that much more interesting. While there is no denying that the Nike/Jordan behemoth isn’t exactly shaking in their boots because their market share is dominant in the way that their athletes have dominated the NBA (16 of the past 24 NBA Finals MVPs were Nike/Jordan/Converse athletes), we look beyond that to see how the fans are reacting to the shoes and how great the players who are performing in them are doing. So with that in mind, here is our totally official (yet unofficial) ranking of today’s NBA signature shoe athletes.
