Data Reveals: Nike is a Large Factor for Football Recruits

There really is not much to it, schools who have these massive sport apparels deals are going to be most coveted. This athlete think again to future things such as type of gear, clothes, and warm ups they will be forced to wear. I’m a type of one man brand when it comes to anything Sports related… it has to be Nike!


A lot of these atheletes have the same state of mind that I do, what gear am I going to be needing and performing in. I would never show up to any game of mine whether it be baseball, basketball, or football wearing something other than Nike. Regardless I could still play but have a full set of gear from the same company goes a long way, especially with brand reconciliation. They build things to work off of eachother, so lets keep it that way.



According to the January 2015 report, Nike was the clear favorite with 73 percent of recruits indicating that it was their preferred sports apparel company. Under Armour was second and adidas was third with 16 percent and 7 percent, respectively. A small percentage of recruits entered other brands like New Balance and Reebok as shown in the chart below.
