While a spot in the roster for the NBA All-Star game in NYC seems slim, due to the pool of talented guards in the West, adidas still pays tribute to Portland Trailblazers point guard Damian Lillard with a “New York” rendition of the adidas D Lillard 1.
Meant to celebrate the All-Star festivities on February 15, the adidas D Lillard 1 boasts a variety of details such as a predominantly White snakeskin-inpired textured upper composed of nubuck and leather, perforated toe box panels in addition to a portion of its vamp, a glossy carbon coating along the frame, as well as a mesh Techfit inner lining and tongue.
Furthermore, adidas and Damian Lillard branding are located at the heel and tongue, while a more prominent snakeskin-inpired detail is found on the toe cap in Black for a contrasting touch. All resting atop a speckled midsole unit equipped with a full length adiprene+ cushioning for optimal stability and court performance, a translucent outsole adds finishing touches.
The adidas D Lillard 1 “New York” is rumored to release at select adidas accounts by February 13.
