Just when we thought that the adidas Ultra Boost couldn’t get any better, adidas hit us with the 2016 Ultra Boost yesterday that features a gradient multicolored heatwave pattern. Other changes/improvements include the Primeknit material now being knitted with a different tightness to support the foot in all the right places as well as the outsole receiving some significant upgrades with the addition of Continental Rubber™ and a flattened Stretch Web outsole for even more durability.
If you like the new improvements that the Ultra Boost has undergone and your’e looking to buy a new pair for yourself or as a Christmas gift then this new Grey/White option is up for grabs at the moment. The gradient multicolored heatwave pattern on the Primeknit upper starts off in grey then shifts to off-white and then finally white to keep things on the same color wave.
Retailing for $180, is this grey/white colorway of the adidas Ultra Boost on your Christmas wish-list this year?

Author’s Take
The changes made to the 2016 Ultra Boost aren’t game changers, but they are changes. I’ve never tried on a pair so I’m not sure how the new tighter fit or more rugged outsole will feel, but the gradient multicolored heatwave pattern is definitely a nice look. I look forward to more colorways in the future as well as buying my first pair soon.
