As you may or may not know already, John Wall is officially a sneaker free agent. The two-time all-star’s contract with Adidas expired on Sept. 30, making him available to sign with any sneaker company. But since the adidas J Wall 2 released only about a month after his deal with adidas expired, the explosive point guard continues to wear his sneaker. Wouldn’t you? This doesn’t mean that Wall may not sign with adidas again because at the moment he’s weighing his different options to see what’s best for him.
In the meantime we’ll continue to see different colorways of the J Wall 2 since adidas has already made the shoes so they’re better off releasing them as planned. This upcoming All Star version of the J Wall 2 (I guess adidas is betting that Wall will be an all star again this year) comes with a new Primeknit upper in a combination of green, purple, and pink similar to the other adidas Basketball All Star sneakers that we’ve seen already this year.
You can look for the adidas J Wall 2 Primeknit All Star at select adidas retailers beginning on January 21st.

Author’s Take
The addition of Primeknit on the J Wall 2 is definitely a plus but I’m still not a big fan of the overall design of the sneaker. It looks kind of similar to the J Wall 1 to me.
