The original adidas ZX Flux has been a very strong player in the lifestyle runner category ever since it released. But in 2015 the silhouette has evolved (like most shoes do) and has released in a few different hybrids including the popular Tubular X.
The newest hybrid version of the ZX Flux comes with the new ZX Flux Plus that you see above. We first caught a glimpse at this sneaker last month in a tonal grey colorway. While tonal kicks are always good to have, there’s nothing like some color to really help a shoe come to life. This newest colorway of the adidas ZX Flux Plus comes with a woven/knit upper in a couple of different shades of blue that almost looks like Primeknit. The minimal use of laces and the revamped heel cage give this shoe that Y-3 look that I’m sure many people will appreciate because you won’t have to pay Y-3 price. Red and white detailing add another nice pop to the overall look of the shoe.
If you like what you see you can scoop up this ZX Flux Plus at select adidas retailers now for just $110.

Author’s Take
I don’t know if it’s because I’ve been seeing A LOT of the ZX Flux this past year, but I like the new look on this ZX Flux Plus. The knitted upper and the Y-3 influence is a good look.
