Boston premium boutique Concepts has had a retail space for some time now in NYC, with its first appearance last winter with the Concepts x New Balance 997 "Rosé" release and numerous drops afterwards. However each time afterwards was through a "pop-up shop" setup -- now, the store is open for good here in New York City and you're going to want to check it out -- it could be the best boutique New York has to offer.
Upon entering, customers'll notice that the shop is bathed in natural light and offers the best of the best in selection, ranging from Concepts in-house apparel and accessories Japanese streetwear brands like visvim, Neighborhood, Bounty Hunter, and soon have a good time and Columbia Japan. Towards the middle of the store space is a section for hats and accessories, along with outerwear near the rear and lastly a sneaker room towards the right. The space takes advantage of the industrial look provided by cement walls, steel railings and natural wood fixtures, while the back will be converted to a green house in the near future to offer its customers a chance to relax with some natural vibes in stark contrast to the storefront. The exterior showcases adjustable shutters, both to control the lighting of the inside and also to block pedestrians from peeking inside for future secretive releases. Further enhancements are on the way to an already stunning build, so be sure to visit often as the space continues to evolve and grow.
To commemorate the opening, Concepts is giving New York sneakerheads a second chance to cop this years most hyped shoes, including a very limited stock of the Concepts Holy Grail pack, adidas Originals Yeezy Boost 350 "Pirate Black" and Drake x Air Jordan 10 Retro "OVO." Along with the restocks, the boutique gave us a sneak peek into its newest collaboration with Reebok to release some time next week, in the form of two white classics and a burgundy pair, all with subtle Concepts branding.
The grand opening of Concepts NYC is scheduled for November 21 at 10am.
