The adidas silos F50, Predator, 11pro and Nitrocharge have all been discontinued, and now the German sportswear company has unveiled two new soccer boots as permanent replacements — the adidas ACE15 and X15.

Specifically crafted for two distinct types of players, the adidas ACE15 is intended for ultimate ball control. Players such as Mesut Özil, James Rodríguez, Oscar, Manuel Neuer and Ivan Rakitić fall in this category. Boasting a NSG (Non-stop grip) skin on the upper with 3D dots that allow perfect control in all conditions, a grippy EVA and a new stud configuration cap off this cleat’s unique build.

The adidas X15 however, is made for the chaotic game changer, featuring players like Thomas Müller, Gareth Bale, Luis Suárez, Karim Benzema and Álvaro Morata. Constructed of a lightweight three-layered X-SKIN upper that delivers comfort, protection and performance, the silhouette if further enhanced by a tech fit collar for a compressed fit and superior support on the ankle, while an X-CLAW base with claw studs enables perfect traction.

A number of soccer players will wearing the new adidas ACE15 and X15 for the first time at the UEFA Champions League Final in Berlin on Saturday, June 6th.

Meanwhile, availability for both cleats will begin on July 1st at select adidas retailers worldwide.

Author’s Take

Just to be clear, the ACE15 is the predominantly Volt-colored edition and the X15 being the Black/Volt offering. In terms of design, I’d have to go with the XS15.
