It appears that adidas has been keeping the adidas Originals Stan Smith on heavy rotation as of late. With summer right around the corner, you can tell that adidas is putting extra work to make sure everybody has at least one pair of the Stan Smiths on their weekly summer rotation.
The newest versions of the adidas Originals Stan Smith take on the “Weave” upper construction. All of the three pairs keep it at a minimum when it comes to aesthetics, as they all come in all-white “weave” uppers with only hits of color found in the bottom layer of the shoe. Coming in all-white, red or navy upper, the said colors can actually be seen underneath the white woven upper. Those same colors are also put on the branding seen on the tongue and heel of the shoe. All three pairs will also come with a white midsole to continue to the minimal and subtle look and feel of the shoe. Perfect for the summer, you will able to get a pair starting June 1st.

Author’s Take
Although they are named or considered woven shoes, I just don’t see it. The pictures provided actually show some type of netting instead of a woven construction on the upper. All in all, it’s still a good and clean looking shoe. With the plethora of all white shoes though, I just don’t see this pair standing out from the pack.
