NBA Kicks: Ray Allen brings back Jesus Shuttlesworth and the Air Jordan 11 “Ring Ceremony”

2014 - January 21 - 15dLast night’s game between the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics was the second go-around of the NBA’s nickname jersey experiment. But unlike the first game were both the Heat and Brooklyn Nets wore nickname jerseys, this time it was only the Heat in the special uniforms while the Celtics wore their regular road green gear. Maybe the NBA wanted to see how the nicknames jerseys looked in contrast to the standard issue uniforms; well, if they were thinking that it would look kinda silly, then mission accomplished, NBA.

But what wasn’t silly was Jesus Shuttlesworth (aka Ray Allen) rocking his Air Jordan 11 “Ring Ceremony” PE against his former team. Here’s hoping that it was a troll on Allen’s part and that even though KG and Paul and Doc are no longer on the team, he still wanted to stick it to Danny Ainge and his good buddy Rajon Rondo.

As for the rest of the night in kicks, Kevin Durant didn’t get to wear this Nike KD 6 “BHM” because he wasn’t scheduled to play on MLK Day and won’t make up for it because of NBA rules, E’Twaun Moore shows love for Penny, Mo Williams rocks a shiny red Nike Zoom Crusader and much more.
