Every 23 seconds, a sneaker is undeadstocked and worn for the first time*. After months (sometimes years if you’re really serious about wearing something nobody else has) of hibernation in the comforts of its original packaging (or those dope boxes from The Container Store), a sneaker is let out into the wild ready to take on the world (or Instagram). It is a ritual that every sneakerhead undertakes and is unique to each individual. For some, they might wear them out of the store and get the process over with so they can enjoy them right away. For others, they might save that first wear for a special occasion or when they know they will be rolling with their fellow sneakerheads. And then there are those who just give it some time and let everybody else wear their hyped kicks out and wait for that right time when they’re the only ones with those kicks in fresh condition.
Over the next few weeks, we are going to be witness to an insanely loaded holiday season. Starting in November, there is going to be heat dropping practically every week and the rush for them will be quite crazy. However, there will be those sneakerheads who have been itching for this time to come because now is when they will finally wear those kicks they bought earlier in the year. Ironically, some of them will be rocking their undeadstocked heat while they line up to buy the next pair they will deadstock for use a few months from now but that’s the way of the sneakerhead, right?

Who says you can’t wear white in the winter time? If you live in California, you don’t have to worry about silly things like rain (which leads to mud) ruining your white heat (you have to worry about droughts and bigger things in life, but that’s not what we’re here to talk about), so rest assured these Jordan 11 Lows that dominated the summertime will rise once again in the next few months.
