Adidas began experimenting with the new adidas Ultra Boost Uncaged last year when they released the first pair in a collaboration with Hypebeast. Since then they have released a couple more Uncaged versions of the Ultra Boost such as the recent collaboration with Solebox.
Soon enough we’ll be able to pick up the Uncaged Ultra Boost as a non-collaboration release because adidas plans on releasing the shoe as part of their inline collection. One of those colorways that will release will be this tonal grey version you see above that sees the entire Primeknit upper done in grey with matching laces and heel counter. The only contrast comes with the white BOOST midsole and black rubber outsole.

Author’s Take
I’m still unsure on how I feel about the Uncaged version of the Ultra Boost. I think the removal of the cage just gives the shoe a strange look that I’m not really accustomed to. If I had to pick with or without cage right now Id’ have to go with the cage.
