adidas recently gave the iconic Superstar the “metal toe” look and now they’re releasing another iconic silhouette with the similar treatment.
The adidas Originals Stan Smith has been undergoing its own transformations lately with one of the most recent being the addition of a Primeknit upper. Now the classic tennis shoe will be toughening up with the addition of gun metal grey plate on the heel. As for the upper, you didn’t think adidas was gonna stick with the plain boring leather upper, did you? Nope! For this Stan Smith the decided to go with a snakeskin textured upper in off white material that looks like leather.
Already having dropped overseas, let’s keep our fingers crossed that these land in the states sooner rather than later.

Author’s Take
I can’t say that I’m a fan of the Stan Smith because I’m not. The silhouette just feels too plain and boring to me. The addition of the metal plates and the snakeskin textured upper does give this colorway a nice look though.
