Let’s be honest with each other; once we get this far along in the NBA Playoffs, it can be a struggle to find a different headliner each night because we see the same teams and players and unless they are signature guys like LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, the last thing on their minds is wearing something that will get them love on the sneaker blogs. So we have to get creative here and scour the photo archives hoping for something, anything that’s different.
Thankfully we got a little assist last night from the San Antonio Spurs because by blowing out the Oklahoma City Thunder, our great NBA photographers had plenty of time to snap photos of adidas Basketball’s Matt Bonner. His saga to find new kicks was well-chronicled this season and after starting things off with the adidas Crazy 8, he seems to have found his niche with the modern take on the iconic Pro Model as he worn them during the Spurs’ playoff run. And if we’re going to choose between featuring the Gloves that Danny Green and several players have worn this season or going with the Red Mamba, I think you know what the answer is going to be.
