NBA Kicks: John Wall brings Wizards to the second round in the adidas CrazyQuick 2

2014 - April 29 - CoverYes, you can come up with a million different reasons why the Washington Wizards were “lucky” to make it to the second round of the NBA Playoffs. The Bulls were without Derrick Rose, they traded Luol Deng in a cheapskate move midway through the season, the East was so bad that the Wizards basically bungled their way to a 5th seed and that’s not even counting Tony Kornheiser’s epic blasts about the teams’ recent fortunes with guys like Gilbert Arenas, Andray Blatche and the immortal Swaggy P. But none of those excuses account for the fact that John Wall has been playing like an All-Star this season and performing like a former # 1 overall pick should be.

Of course, we can also credit Wall’s great play to when he made the switch from Reebok to adidas, but that wouldn’t be in line with how the sneaker internet works. They think greatness only comes brands that they love.

As for the rest of the night in kicks, Stephen Curry debuted a new Under Armour Anatomix Spawn PE, Kevin Durant wore new colorways of the Nike KD 6 Elite and Nike KD 6, the Clippers had a night to remember and well, the Clippers. Doesn’t get much more historic than this past night in the association.
