NCAA Kicks: Julius Randle rocks the Nike Kobe 9 Elite “Perspective” as Sweet 16 is set

Kentucky - CoverAfter an amazing first weekend of the NCAA tournament that more than lived up to the fuss we give it every year, we’ve got our usual morass of top teams and shockers (sorry, Wichita State) in the Sweet 16 now to give us even more reasons to ditch work excitement over the next few days. But among the big 3 hyped freshmen of Jabari Parker, Andrew Wiggins and Julius Randle that started the season, only Randle will have a chance to potentially lift a championship trophy up in the air soon as he helped his Kentucky Wildcats advance to the second weekend.

While many nowadays think of Kentucky as a “LeBron school” because of LeBron James’ ties with coach John Calipari and the curious release of Nike LeBron PEs for the Wildcats, we’ve seen Randle and several other players on the squad rock the Nike Kobe 9 Elite lately. Randle would help his team beat Wichita State in the “Perspective” colorway on Sunday, setting up a showdown between Kentucky and Louisville in a basketball civil war of epic proportions.

As for the rest of the tournament weekend in kicks, we saw plenty of Jordan retros (mostly on the teams that lost), North Carolina at the very least lasting longer than Duke in their CP3 player exclusives, adidas having their ups and downs as UCLA advanced but Andrew Wiggins Kansas fell short and much more.
