The NBA’s annual unofficial debut (the time when most casual fans tune in to watch for the first time during the regular season) featured plenty of action and excitement on the court even from the beginning. Well, at least on the sneaker side because the first three games were terrible or uninteresting since they were either blowouts or anticlimactic affairs. As much as we love Nick Young here at KoF, it would have been a Christmas miracle of epic proportions if he was able to lead the Lakers to an upset against the Miami Heat.

Nike, Jordan Brand, adidas and BRANDBLACK (no, really) all got into the holiday cheer with various Christmas-themed colorways of their kicks both of the signature and non-signature variety, with most members of the Jordan Defense Force getting all hyped for the exclusives Russell Westbrook and Ray Allen rocked, while LeBron James and Kevin Durant both donned their respective signatures. As for Kobe? Well, he had to make it work with some Christian Louboutins while Xavier Henry and Jordan Hill carried the load for his Nike Kobe 8 SS. Yeah, come back, Mamba and soon…

Check out the rest of our recap which features more gingerbread cookies (the logo on the kicks of those Nike Basketball Christmas exclusives) than you can handle from Nike, more Jordan retro exclusives both new and old and custom, the return of the adidas Crazy 1, some wacky looking socks, some uh, interesting looking jerseys and much more.
