The adidas D Rose 4.5 was officially unveiled today via a press release. While carrying many of the design elements found in the D Rose 4.5, the new SPRINTSKIN upper takes on a more animalistic look, which they say represents the fastest and most unique creatures on the planet. The shoe also retains the EVA collar with GEOTFIT and padding around the ankle that was a prominent feature of the Rose 4.0.
Each colorway featured in the gallery above also gives us hints at the story behind each edition. While you see some of the usual themes found around Rose’s signature kicks like the tributes to the city of Chicago and its cultural heritage, there is also a red, white and blue pair that includes a group of ping-pong balls on the inner tongue with “1.7%” prominently featured. That 1.7% chance represents the chances the Bulls had in drafting Rose during the 2008 NBA Draft.
The D Rose 4.5 drops in three colorways for $140 on January 30 at adidas Basketball with more to launch throughout the new year.
