What An NCAA Tournament Bracket Filled Out By A Hypebeast Looks Like

A Hypebeast Final Four: Three Jordans And A Nike

The Hypebeast Ratio: Three Jordans To One Nike

There is nothing quite like the NCAA Tournament. While the Super Bowl might draw the biggest television audience and the NBA Finals captures the world’s attention, March Madness is the one sports event throughout the entire year that brings in everybody from basketball junkies to degenerate gamblers that have developed a “formula” for winning every year and casuals that fill out a bracket based on which mascot is cooler (more on that later). That’s because filling in a winning bracket either requires all the experience in the world or absolutely none and both have the same chance of winning their pool. This is why I will always be a charter member of the “I love Kemba Walker because he won me an office pool” fan club…

Sadly, we don’t have an official Kicks On Fire bracket pool this year (blame Jazzy because… I don’t know, it’s fun to blame her for these things). But we did at least get our favorite person in the world to fill out a bracket for us. That’s right, our good friend the hypebeast is here to give us his selections. Not surprisingly, his picks were based on any knowledge about what teams were actually good or not. Instead, he picked teams based solely on what kicks they wore and the brand they represented. As you might expect, the results were uh, interesting…

At first glance, it looks like a typical bracket with traditional powerhouses like Kentucky, North Carolina and Villanova going deep into the tournament. But then you start notice little things like #1 seed Wisconsin losing the first round to adidas and Under Armour schools almost getting shut out of the second round. Let’s highlight some of the more bizarre picks and key games that our hypebeast had to struggle to pick a winner.
